Obama lobbies senators on stimulus plan
WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama lobbied Democratic senators yesterday as he seeks to build support for his economic stimulus proposals and for tapping the second half of a $700-billion financial-markets rescue fund.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he's confident his chamber won't block the rescue funds.
