Police: Human skeletal remains found in woods on Turner Road off Route 32 in Woodbury

Officials say two men found a skull and bones in woods on Turner Road off of Route 32, near a parking lot for the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.

WOODBURY - Police say human skeletal remains were found this morning in Woodbury.

Officials say two men found a skull and bones in woods on Turner Road off of Route 32, near a parking lot for the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.

The Orange County Medical Examiner and a state police forensics team were called to the scene after local police confirmed the remains were human.

The remains have not yet been identified, but police say they are not those of Eugene Palmer, who fled Haverstraw after allegedly killing his daughter-in-law last September.

Officials say they will have a better idea on the identity and cause of death next week.
