Sleepy Hollow meeting to address emotional impact of Sandy and school shooting

The Village of Sleepy Hollow and Phelps Memorial Hospital will hold a community meeting for those dealing with the emotional impact of Super Storm Sandy and the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Phelps staff will be on hand to answer questions about post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and other relevant topics. Judy Burns, director of Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Rachel Schoolcraft, program psychiatrist, and Abby Schneider, program director of Phelps counseling, plan on attending.

This meeting is open to the community and will be held on the second floor of Sleepy Hollow Village Hall. A Spanish translator will be available. Those with questions or concerns or who need assistance before the meeting, can contact Burns at 914-944-5241 or Schneider at 914-366-3600.
