Supremacist site advertised in SF school paper

SAN FRANCISCO - SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Officials at a San Francisco high school have pulled all remaining copies of the student newspaper after inadvertently printing an ad inside for a white supremacist Web site.

The ad published Friday in Lowell High School's newspaper appeared to be for free music downloads. But the Web address it included, www.victoryforever.com, linked to a site that calls for a restoration of "white heritage."

San Francisco school district spokeswoman Gentle Blythe said the newspaper's faculty advisers never checked the Web site in the ad, which cost $30.

The site itself had been changed recently from a seemingly harmless page offering music.

An anonymous e-mail to news outlets claiming credit for the ad said similar ads have been placed in student newspapers nationwide.
