Tuskegee Airmen invited to Barack Obama inauguration
It was the 1926 lynching of a black family near his South Carolina home that positioned Spann Watson to become one of the nation's first black military pilots.
It is recognition of the success of those pioneering aviators - the all-black Tuskegee Airmen - that will be Watson's ticket to witness the inauguration of Barack Obama as the nation's first African-American president.
