UVa student among those killed in Haiti earthquake
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - (AP) — The University of Virginia says a graduate students is among those killed by the earthquake in Haiti.
The Charlottesville school says Stephanie Jean-Charles died in Tuesday's quake. Jean-Charles was a 2009 graduate and master's program student at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
University officials say the resident of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince was home with her family when the quake struck and suffered a fatal head injury.
