Timothy J. Rooney, Empire City Casino president and CEO, presented the items, collected during the casino's most successful Christmas Spirit Toy and Coat Drive to date, to Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.

Rooney and the casino previously made a $500,000 donation to the Catholic Charities Hurricane Sandy Relief and Recovery Fund, established by the archdiocese soon after the storm hit the region Oct. 29.
