BAGHDAD - The British Broadcasting Corp. says a rocket hit the building housing its Baghdad bureau, causing damage but no injuries.
The rocket hit the roof, damaging equipment and opening a large hole. It was part of a barrage that fell short of the heavily fortified Green Zone in downtown Baghdad Friday.
Patrick Howse, the BBC bureau chief in Baghdad, said that the "rocket struck the roof of the BBC Baghdad bureau. It caused structural damage but no one was injured." He says it left an approximately 3 foot by 5 foot hole in the roof.
