New York City to get $151.6 million in Homeland Security funds
Federal money for preparedness and security designated for New York will rise slightly in 2010 funding announced by the Department of Homeland Security Thursday.
Under the Urban Area Security Initiative, one of the key programs for major cities, New York City will get $151.6 million. That's up 4 percent from what the city won last year.
