A million expected at Yankees parade
A million fans are expected to line the storied Canyon of Heroes Friday for the ticker-tape parade in honor of the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees. It begins at 11 a.m. on Broadway at Battery Place and continues north to Chambers Street. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, where Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present the Yankees with keys to the city.
