Cops: Man with ties to 50 Cent killed in Queens shooting

A rapper with ties to 50 Cent was fatally shot and another man critically wounded in a Friday afternoon shooting in the Springfield Gardens area of Queens, law enforcement sources said.

An NYPD spokesman said Friday that four people were gathered at a vehicle parked at 133rd Avenue and Farmers Boulevard when a man approached and started shooting.

A law enforcement source identified the dead rapper, whose stage name is Mazaradi Fox, as Jamal Green, 42, 176-08 134 Ave., Queens. He was shot in the torso, police said.

A 21-year-old male victim had a gunshot wound to his neck and shoulder, a 22-year-old male victim was wounded in the leg and a 32-year-old female, had a graze wound to her neck, police said.

The gunman fled in a black Hyundai Sonata, police said. No arrest had been made late Friday.

The confirmed death brought to four the number of homicides in the city so far this year, according to police records. Last year, the city recorded five homicides by Jan. 6.

The injured people were taken to hospitals. Details on their conditions were not immediately available.
