Curious-on-Hudson Tappan Zee Bridge building in Dobbs Ferry
Westchester Engineering for Kids, which teaches science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children, sponsored it first of six "New York Rising: Engineering for Kids 7-14" courses at Curious-on-Hudson in Dobbs Ferry. The children built bridges out of 25 index cards and tape during the first session but will use different materials later on and will examine the three designs proposed for the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
