BlonDee’s Bistro & Bar in Huntington has closed.
The place was launched back in 2012 as Two Blondes and a Stove, serving only breakfast and lunch. A split between partners led to a new name, BlonDee’s Bistro, with Dena Fenza the sole blonde behind the business.

Say goodbye to the Patchogue branch of Canz-a-Citi Roadhouse, a big, boisterous bar and grill where multiple TVs blared multiple sports events and female servers in tank tops and short-shorts ferried food and drink to tables.
Meanwhile, in the vacated space, a new barbecue spot is getting ready to open within the next couple of months.

La Cocina Del Papa y la Mama in Freeport is gone. The Dominican restaurant opened last year, taking over the little storefront that previously housed La Cocina de Marcia, also Dominican. Both restaurants had been known for such dishes as baked red snapper, pernil (roasted pork) and barbecued chicken. Keeping an eye out for the next debut in that space. ...Read more »
Sonoma Grill, a strip mall eatery on Sunrise Highway in Holbrook, has closed. This is according to a sign on its door and a farewell message on its website. Energy Kitchen, a Syosset eatery on Jericho Turnpike, has run out of steam. The place was geared to low-cal healthy eating and opened in 2012 as the first Long Island branch of a New York City chain. Now, it seems, the entire operation has gone under. Serata South in Long Beach has closed. The restaurant, which occupied the former Matteo’s site, offered an Italian menu as well as a late-night dancing scene. The place opened in 2012 as an offshoot of Serata in Oyster Bay. That restaurant, which closed earlier, has since been replaced by J. Michaels Tuscan Steakhouse. In East Meadow, a new branch of Muscle Maker Grill has opened, replacing Sarku Asian Express, a food court-style eatery that didn’t make it through its first year. Muscle Maker is part of a national healthy-eating chain with branches in Amityville, Long Beach, Merrick and Huntington Station.
