The state-approved cleanup of the largest PCB-contaminated site in the lower Hudson Valley, began in 2010. The 42-acre site involves the cleanup of two separate properties sitting next to each other: the former Anaconda Wire & Cable Co. 28-acre site and a 14-acre property owned by Chevron. A six-acre park, mixed use development, roads and other elements are under discussion by village planners.
