It's time again check out the best, funniest and most intriguing tweets from celebrities with ties to the Hudson Valley.

At No. 5 is Larchmont native Joan Rivers, who is making her second appearance on this countdown. The legendary comedian has been touring the United Kingdom, where she's found it tough to stick to her diet.

Rivers can be brutal when it comes to red-carpet fashions and celebrity looks, but one of the many reasons she can get away with it is because of her self-awareness and self-deprecation. Plus, she's funny, so that tends to help her case, too.
At No. 4 is Ron Geffen, a guitarist for the All Ways. If that name sounds familiar, it's because they were the other notable Rockland County act to make the quarterfinals on this season of "America's Got Talent." (The other? Runner-up Tom Cotter, who's performing with other "AGT" acts in Las Vegas through Nov. 17.) Geffen and the rest of the Nyack-based band might want us to think they're working hard on another song, but his photo shows them hardly working.

To be fair, the band put on some high-energy performances during their "AGT" run. They were bound to crash at some point.
This week's third-best tweet comes from Dobbs Ferry native Max Greenfield, who also makes his second appearance on this countdown. Last time he was here, he used a photo to serve as the payoff for a pun. This week is no different, as the "New Girl" star pays tribute to a comedy icon in the process.

I'll see Greenfield's pun and raise him another: John Candy was pretty sweet. (The difference between his pun and mine? His pun was better, by default.)
Once again, it's a big week for celebrities returning to this countdown, with Armonk resident Ron Howard checking in at No. 2 this time around. The reputed Hollywood nice-guy agrees with Kevin James about the superhuman congeniality of James' "Here Comes the Boom" co-star Henry Winkler, who made our countdown last week.

For those who can't read the pull-quote that Howard circled in the photo, James says, "I've worked with Ron Howard, who is one of the nicest guys on the planet. Opie and all that? Compared to Henry Winkler, Ron Howard kicks puppies." Although Howard agreed with the overall sentiment, you have to like that he clarified that he's never actually kicked a puppy. Hmm, that's awfully nice of him. Your move, Winkler!
Wrapping up the countdown is Mamaroneck's Carly Rose Sonenclar, who's having a rather phenomenal week of her own, and not just because she's claimed the top spot on this list. In addition to advancing to the live rounds on "The X Factor," she got a ringing endorsement from Britney Spears, who boasts more than 21 million Twitter followers.

Sonenclar looks poised to go far in the reality TV competition, but for now, she can take solace in knowing she's this week's winner of the Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week.
