Authorities say Kyle Steed worked at Lenox Hill Hospital and stole the names and social security numbers of patients between January 2014 and February 2015. They say he then gave the information to his wife, who would take over their bank accounts.

Prosecutors allege the couple spent more than $300,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

A hospital spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking comment. It wasn’t immediately clear whether Kyle or Krystle Steed had an attorney to comment on the allegations.
