Demonstrators marked Earth Day with a march through the streets of Manhattan.

The March for Science, one of several held across the country, was planned as a response to the proposed budget cuts and political appointments of President Donald Trump, marchers said.

Many got creative with their signs, pulling inspiration from the science field itself.
