Northbound Metro-North trains were back on schedule Friday morning after mechanical issues on one train caused delays, officials said.
A northbound train on Track 3 became disabled at the Harlem/125th Street station at 8:21 a.m., Metro-North spokesman Aaron Donovan said.
Northbound trains on the Harlem and New Haven lines briefly experienced 10-minute delays due to the issue, Donovan said. Hudson line trains were not affected, "probably just as a function of what trains were coming through at the time," Donovan said.
Repairs to the disabled train were made quickly. Residual delays persisted until about 9:15 a.m., Donovan said, but all northbound trains are now on or close to schedule, he said.
Trains headed to Grand Central Terminal were not affected, he said.
