A Manhattan couple whose two children were allegedly killed by their nanny last October are expecting a baby boy.
Marina and Kevin Krim announced their pregnancy Thursday on a Facebook page dedicated to their slain children: Lucia, 6, and Leo, 2.
The children's nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, has been charged with murder in the stabbing deaths of the brother and sister in their West 75th Street apartment on the Upper West Side. Ortega had cared for the Krims' three children for about two years. The Krims' third child, Nessie, now 4, had been at a swim meet with her mother when her siblings were killed.
"We are very happy to let you know that Marina is expecting a baby in the fall. Nessie can't wait to welcome her new baby brother," the couple wrote on their Facebook page. "We are filled with many emotions as we look to the future, but the most important one is hope. We are very grateful to you all for your amazing support."
More than 600 "friends" commented on the couple's status on the social network site and about 3,000 people "liked" it by last evening.
"This is wonderful news! My heart filled with joy and my eyes filled with tears [of joy] the second I read this! I prayed for this for your family," commenter Maggie Haag posted to the page.
Last month Ortega was found mentally fit for trial. She is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder.
