NYC homeless shelter pay-to-stay program suspended

New York City has temporarily suspended charging the working homeless to stay in shelters.

The Department of Homeless Services on Thursday notified 56 family shelter providers that "technical issues" had prompted the suspension.

City homeless officials didn't specify the issues.
