NYPD: Man loses leg after struck by cab
New York City police say a man putting his childin the car was struck by a cab in Brooklyn that severed his leg.
Police say the cab swerved to avoid a car pulling out from adriveway Tuesday night on East 57th Street. They say the cab thencrashed into the man and his car across the street.
The man's leg was amputated, and he was sent to BellevueHospital for possible reattachment surgery....
