The NYPD continued their search Monday night for a man wanted in connection with an early morning rape of a woman in Central Park.

The rape occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

A surveillance video captured the suspect walking with the victim before the attack -- and captured an image of the suspect after the attack.

The woman was walking on East 88th Street near Fifth Avenue in Manhattan when she was first approached by the suspect, police said.

The two began talking and continued to walk together toward Central Park, entering the park near 100th Street.

Walking along the bike path, police said, the two stopped to sit on a bench. Police said the victim said that the man became violent -- dragging her into a grassy area, then raping her.

Once the victim fled, she ran to nearby Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police said the alleged attacker wore a red hat, black leather jacket and blue jeans.
