Davie was indicted after Isel Pineda, 51, died following the laser liposuction procedure on May 10, 2012 that appeared to go well, DiPietro said. Though Pineda had undergone heart surgery nine years earlier, an autopsy showed that her arteries were blocked by as much as 95 percent, DiPietro said.

Davie has surrendered his medical license, DiPietro said.
