Juicy Couture gets back to its LA roots
Juicy Couture's going west for spring/summer 2014-- well beyond the Hudson River its presentation at Manhattan's Milk Studios looked out on Tuesday morning, and all the way back to its Los Angeles roots.
The vibe was laid-back, Cali-cool with happy colors and lots of prints, from stripes and dots to hearts and florals.
It was casual, yet dressed up (shorts in luxe materials with pretty tops and baseball caps) classic, yet modern (ladylike dresses topped with colorful moto jackets or paired with neon accessories) and grown up, yet youthful (tweed jackets and printed pantsuits beside spring break-ready bikinis and cut-off shorts).
As expected, there were updates on the iconic Juicy track suit, now streamlined with slimming stripes, plus amped-up workout gear (bright pinks and more leopard) and hoodies adorned with studs and fun graphics.
And, because you simply can't go to Hollywood without them, expect some movie star-worthy sunglasses, plus metallic heels for the days you can't spend in Santa Monica with your toes in the sand. Now, if only one of those perforated leather bags were holding a plane ticket . . .
