Fredrique was in a cab on Tillary Street in Brooklyn, police said, when he realized his daughter was missing and panicked. The cab driver pulled over after becoming alarmed and alerted NYPD traffic agents, police said.

Fredrique has been charged with abandonment of a child, acting in a manner injurious to a child and reckless endangerment in the second degree.

A call made to Fredrique went unanswered Sunday.
