Stanley Williams struck, killed on Harlem River Driver

New York City police say a 50-year-old pedestrian was killed on the Harlem River Drive.

The accident occurred just before 11 p.m. Wednesday near East 135th Street.

Police say Stanley Williams of East 124th Street was pronounced dead at a hospital.

They say he was attempting to cross the busy highway from east to west when he was struck by a SUV traveling northbound.

The driver of the SUV remained on the scene.
