HARTFORD - State lawmakers paused to honor the 26 victims of the Newtown shooting.

The General Assembly held a moment of silence and special service before yesterday's special session.

Gov. Dannel Malloy and other lawmakers wore green and white ribbons yesterday, the colors of Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Following the tribute, lawmakers worked to finalize a bipartisan plan to cover a projected $365 million budget deficit.
