NEW YORK— In with the new, out with the New Year’s Eve trash.
New York City Sanitation Department spokeswoman Kathy Dawkins says almost 150 sanitation workers labored to get Times Square ready to reopen around 6 a.m. Friday after hundreds of thousands of people partied 2009 away. She says workers may still need to polish up side streets, but the main cleanup is done.
