Barack Obama's visit Thursday on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the first by a sitting president, scored an 11.2 Nielsen rating in metered-market households.

That's the highest rating since January 2005, when the NBC show paid tribute to the late Johnny Carson. The last time it logged a higher rating was in 1998. Its season-average rating is 3.9.
