Actress Lindsay Lohan and a California man filed harassment complaints against each other with the NYPD Sunday after an early morning altercation inside a posh Manhattan hotel, police said Sunday night.

Neither Lohan, nor the man, identified by a law enforcement source as Christian LaBella, 25, were charged after the call to police early Sunday morning, officials said.

According to The Associated Press, LaBella is from the Valley Village section of Los Angeles and works for Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.).

LaBella and Lohan had an altercation at the W Hotel in Union Square over his taking cellphone pictures of the Long Island-raised actress, said a law enforcement official, who requested anonymity.

Lohan "did sustain some injuries. . . . She was not hospitalized," her spokesman, Steve Honig, said in an email, adding the actress is cooperating with the investigation.

Sunday night, NYPD officials said both Lohan and LaBella were questioned about the scuffle and each filed a harassment complaint against the other.

A spokesman for the Republican congressman confirmed to the AP that LaBella has been an employee in Shimkus' Washington office. The spokesman, Steven Tomaszewski, told AP that LaBella hasn't contacted the office since the incident and added Shimkus doesn't condone the alleged actions.

Police responded to the hotel at 201 Park Ave. South about 6 a.m. Sunday on a call of a "female assaulted" after Lohan pulled the fire alarm at the hotel, the law enforcement official said.

After an investigation Sunday, officers determined no assault had taken place, NYPD officials said Sunday night.

Lohan was treated for a chest infection at the Mount Sinai Hospital emergency room and released a week ago.

Before that, the 26-year-old "Mean Girls" star was charged with leaving the scene of a Sept. 19 accident after she allegedly bumped a Manhattan cook with a Porsche in a driveway between the Maritime and Dream hotels in Chelsea. Lohan also remains on informal probation for taking a necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store without permission last year.
