WARWICK, N.Y. — Police in upstate New York say a father and his teenage daughter have been caught with 90 bags of heroin in their car.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports 52-year-old Bennett Palazzolo and his 19-year-old daughter, Grace, were stopped Sunday near their home in the Orange County town of Warwick.
Police Lt. Tom Maslanka says the pair bought the heroin in Paterson, New Jersey, and intended to sell the drugs in Orange County. He says the heroin had a street value of about $800.
Police say the teen was throwing heroin bags out of the car as officers were pulling over the vehicle.
They’re both facing drug charges and are being held in the county jail in lieu of bail.
It’s unclear if they have an attorney who could comment on the charges.
