Hastings seeking toys for Sandy victims

Toys are being collected for young victims of Hurricane Sandy through Dec. 19 by the Hastings-on-Hudson Parks and Recreation Department.

New unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the James Harmon Community Center, 44 Main St., between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mondays to Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays.

Lynx Transport Co. of Hastings has donated the use of its trucks to deliver the toys to storm-stricken areas.
