UTICA, N.Y. (AP) — A 14-year-old central New York boy who admitted fatally shooting his abusive father will remain in state custody.
An Oneida County Family Court judge says Joseph Giacona III's case will be reviewed again next September by the state Office of Children and Family Services. The agency could decide at that time to release him to a relative or continue holding him in state custody.
