Many residents are wondering what the Westchester County budget means for them after an unprecedented vote today.

Lawmakers were supposed to vote on the county budget today, but instead Democratic leaders adjourned the meeting.

Republicans and two remaining Democrats voted on the budget anyway.

Now it's anyone's guess what all this means for child care advocates like Cora Greenberg, who relies on county funding. Domestic violence advocates like Karen Cheeks-Lomax are in the same boat.

"Clearly as a Legislature, we need everyone to come together to make a decision about what's the best thing for this county, and we didn't see that today," she said.
