Suffolk Conservative Party wins round in fight with cops
A State Supreme Court judge Thursday threw out a lawsuit to stop Suffolk Conservative Party proceedings that could lead to the ouster from the party of 2,000 police and their families.
Justice Thomas Whelan, after a 40-minute hearing in Riverhead, ruled that the hearings could continue because the minor party has yet to take "final, binding or harmful" action against new party voters.
