Bengals extend Lewis

The Cincinnati Bengals extended coach Marvin Lewis' contract by one year through the 2016 season. Lewis has coached the Bengals for 12 seasons, the second-longest current tenure with one team of any coach, behind Bill Belichick in New England. He is Cincinnati's winningest coach with 100 victories; he has lost 96 games and tied two.

WR Jennings to Fish?

Two people familiar with the negotiations say free agent receiver Greg Jennings has signed with the Dolphins. A nine-year veteran, Jennings led the Vikings last season with 59 receptions for 742 yards and six touchdowns. He had three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with Green Bay, but in the past three years he has totaled only 14 touchdown receptions while averaging 11.7 yards per catch.

CollegesRussell leaving Buckeyes

Ohio State point guard and first-team All-American D'Angelo Russell is making himself available for the NBA draft after one season with the Buckeyes. Russell, a 6-foot-5 native of Louisville, Kentucky, declared his intentions in an interview with ESPN.com. He was the Big Ten freshman of the year, leading the Buckeyes in scoring with 19.3 points per game to help them get to the round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament. He set an Ohio State scoring record for freshmen with 675 points while adding 5.7 rebounds and five assists a game. The lefthander shot 45 percent from the field, 41 percent on three-pointers. -- APAUTO RACING

Riverhead practice is open

Riverhead Raceway will hold its final warm-ups Saturday. NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Stock Cars will take the track from noon to 5 p.m. Enduro Car warm ups will begin at 4:30 p.m. Pit Gate admission for warm-ups is $30, with gates opening at 9 a.m. for safety techs. Walk-up spectator admission is free, the racetrack's website said. The Raceway will begin its 65th season May 2.
