Surgeon's immigrant story is one of success

Dr. Harold Fernandez beat the odds after being smuggled at the age of 13 into the United States from Colombia. He went on to become a surgeon and has performed open-heart surgeries and other lifesaving procedures for cardiac patients at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn.
