The wife of the late Joe Paterno defended her husband Monday in her first interview since his death, condemning the FBI's report that claimed the former Penn State coach was involved in covering up allegations of sexual molestations against Jerry Sandusky.

"He was what he was. What you saw was what you got," Sue Paterno said of her husband on Katie Couric's daytime talk show "Katie."

"For Freeh to say the things he did about Joe, I was in disbelief," she added.
