The world’s financial centers are fighting each other for the right to host Alibaba Group’s initial public offering (IPO).

Katie Couric will join Yahoo next year as its “global anchor” while still hosting her daytime talk show, the tech company announced yesterday.
“Beginning in 2014, Katie will help develop Yahoo News’ coverage with a growing team of global correspondents,” Yahoo said in a release. “Katie will continue to host her syndicated daytime talk show, ‘Katie.’”
