Flood advisory lifted; flight delays continue
Astronomical high tides, coupled with a forecast of rain and possible thunderstorms, led to a coastal flood advisory, since lifted, being issued for much of Long Island on Friday, officials said.
The weather service is predicting possible thunderstorms and winds of between 13 and 18 mph with gusts to 28 mph. Rainfall is predicted at three-quarters of an inch to an inch for most of Long Island.
