Long Island's unseasonable highs continues

Long Island will continue to enjoy its mild winter, with unseasonably warm weather predicted this week.

Temperatures will reach highs in the mid-40s Sunday through Monday, the upper 40s on Tuesday, and the lower 50s on Wednesday, said David Stark, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Upton.

That's an average of five to 10 degrees above normal for this time of year, he said.
