Long Islanders are looking at warm temperatures and clear skies throughout the weekend.
Temperatures on Saturday are expected to stay in the low to mid 80s with only light winds, said Joey Picca, a meteorologist in the National Weather Service's office in Upton.
Temperatures will drop to the mid 60s Saturday night, and it will be slightly cooler in the pine barrens.
Sunday's forecast, Picca said, is a near carbon-copy of Saturday, with temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
But, the forecast gets wet early next week with an inch or two of rain expected Tuesday night into Wednesday and a potential for flash flooding, the weather service said.
