Cloudy skies and a light drizzle are expected into Saturday evening, with the chances of rain increasing after 11 p.m., forecasters say.

Low temperatures are expected to be about 56 degrees with a south wind around 5 mph, according to a National Weather Service.

The chance of rain is 60 percent with amounts between a quarter and a half inch possible.

Sunday most likely will start with rain, mainly before noon, and then clear up later in the day.

“After Sunday, Columbus Day looks great,” said News Long Island 12 meteorologist Matt Hammer, “with plenty of sunshine!”
