The end of Long Island’s workweek offers mostly sunny skies with daily highs pushing into the low 50s, the National Weather Service said.
Winds on Friday are from the west at 10 to 14 mph.
The dry, sunny and breezy conditions pretty much dominate the weekend, the service said.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said Friday could get some afternoon clouds.
Hoffman said the temperatures over the weekend will be in the low 50s; the normal temperature for this time of year is 48 degrees.
Friday night gets partly cloudy skies with overnight lows in the mid 30s. Winds shift slightly to the west-northwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Saturday opens with mostly sunshine. Daily highs fall just shy of 50 degrees with winds from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.
