Snow for Long Island on Super Bowl Sunday?

The Super Bowl isn't the only event coming up this weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a "light snow event," with a chance of snow Saturday night, increasing to a likelihood during the day Sunday, this as a low-pressure system passes offshore.

That could mean 3 inches or less, said Dan Hofmann, weather service meteorologist in Upton, with the East End likely to see the higher end of whatever might fall.
