A tornado touched down in Suffolk County on Friday afternoon during a fast-moving storm that caused some flooding and damage, the National Weather Service said.

The twister touched down near Great River North to Ronkonkoma shortly after 2 p.m., according to the weather service. Winds were estimated at 85 mph.
