Officer Quinn has been with the department since October 2003 and has received two Department Recognitions, three Command Recognitions, two Cop of the Month Awards and four Letters of Appreciation.
On 7/4/07, Collins and Quinn were working an evening tour in the Huntington Station area. They became involved in a high speed pursuit with a male subject that they tried to pull over for traffic violations. During the pursuit, the individual rammed his vehicle into the patrol car on three separate occasions, which eventually left both vehicles inoperable. Collins and Quinn, dazed and injured from the collision, then became involved in a violent struggle while attempting to take the subject into custody. They said the subject was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and numerous bags of crack cocaine.
