Four more weeks of winter? Say it ain't so.
But there it is on the calendar in black and white -- mostly white as in the fluffy stuff, which is piled high and getting higher.
We're reaching crisis stage at this point. Towns and cities are blowing through snow-removal budgets -- some already have nothing left. And many school districts are plumb out of snow days. Another storm and many students will pay for school closings with cancellation of spring recess days.
We'll get through it. Governments will find funds to keep our roads clear. And students will grumble about lost vacation time.
But let's hope Staten Island Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil were wrong. Four more weeks of this could drive us all crazy.
