Our school district manipulates the budget outcome every year by hosting an art fair on the evening of the election. This not only brings out parents who are likely to vote yes, but more important, their cars take up the limited parking spaces for longer than would be needed if they were there only to vote.

Quite a few times, we have had to park on a very busy road without sidewalks. I would assume that many voters, and many seniors, just give up. School districts should not be allowed to host any other events at the polling places on the day of the vote.
