Why would you make gun manufacturers liable for someone who uses a gun to kill someone [“Tougher debate tone,” News, Jan. 18]? How can you do that?
Following that logic, anyone who drinks too much liquor and kills someone while driving should be held accountable, along with the car manufacturer and the maker of the alcohol.
People who use any tool to kill someone, intentionally or not, should be held accountable — and only that person.
